Dr. Ryan Aubert is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. He loves being a physical therapist because he enjoys forming relationships with patients and helping them improve their quality of life throughout their recovery. He was inspired to pursue a career in physical therapy by watching his mother, who was a long-time nurse.
When he’s not in the clinic, Ryan loves to watch, play, and coach soccer. He also loves to spend time with his wife and son – especially if they can be outside! He has also lived in 6 states and has participated in service trips to help the underprivileged in India and Jamaica.

Amanda Moran ATC, LMT is a Certified Athletic Trainer who works with East Providence High School and our East Providence clinic. During high school, she fractured her ankle playing softball. This piqued her interest in the field of rehabilitation, which led her to a career in athletic training. She loves helping athletes go from a very low point to then regaining their strength and returning back to their sport.
Amanda also helped the East Providence High School receive the 1st team Safe School Sport award (May 2016-2019). Most recently, she completed the Highbar Lead the Way program.
In her free time, Amanda likes cooking new recipes, reading, and biking. For over 10 years she has participated in the MS 150 Bike Ride, raising money for multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Sarah Arruda is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, spine, sports-related injuries, pelvic health, women’s health, neuro, pediatrics, and balance & falls. She loves helping patients get their lives back and loves her job as a physical therapist so much that she would still work even if she won the lottery!
Sarah loves to stay active by running, hiking, lifting, and golfing. She loves spending time with her husband and two young daughters as well as cheering on the Green Bay Packers, UConn Huskies, and Boston Red Sox!

Ian Manning is the Clinic Director at our North Kingstown clinic who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, and golf injuries. He’s passionate about helping patients recover from pain or injury so they can return to the activities they love.
In his free time, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He also loves staying active by playing golf.
Dr. Jaclyn DeCristoforo is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, spine, sports-related injuries, neurological diagnoses, balance & falls, basketball-related injuries, and the foot and ankle. She is passionate about being a physical therapist because she can see patients progress throughout their rehab program and reach their goals right before her eyes. She also loves that she can stay active throughout the day and use problem solving and creativity to help create a treatment plan for her patients.
In her free time, Jaclyn likes to stay active by hiking, playing basketball, running, skiing, golfing, or simply spending time outside. She watches all Boston sports but considers the Celtics to be her favorite team.

Dr. Brendan Boyle is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, long-distance running, and track & field. He loves to empower patients to find ways to take control of their pain on their own in addition to helping them in the clinic. He is passionate about helping patients understand how their musculoskeletal system works and putting their injuries in a context they can understand. Brendan is also a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who is a faculty member for Highbar's Orthopedic Residency program.
When he’s not treating patients at the clinic, he spends his time running (often in road races), fishing, playing guitar and the bass, and binge-watching shows on Netflix. He also makes time to watch his favorite sports teams – the Patriots, Celtics or Red Sox – play.

Haley Chaves is a Physical Therapist Assistant who specializes in orthopedics and dance. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her patients so they can reduce their pain and increase their range of motion. Each year she takes a trip to the Dominican Republic to provide medical care and aid in construction projects that help develop the community of workers and their families.
In her free time, Haley enjoys traveling to her family’s land in Maine and spending time with her cat and dog. If there’s a Boston Bruins game on, she’s either watching it at home or at the arena.

Zeel Desai is a Physical Therapist who specializes in orthopedics and neurological conditions. Her desire to help people move better and reach their goals led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Physiotherapy and a master’s degree from the University of Florida in Health and Human Performance.
Originally from India and recently relocated from Florida, Zeel enjoys hiking and camping. She also likes to stay active through dancing and adventure sports. Her life motto is to always say yes to a new adventure in life and spread happiness with a bright smile.

Luke Sparks is a Physical Therapist Assistant who specializes in orthopedics. He is passionate about using movement to help patients get back to the activities they love and live without limitation. Luke may be a familiar face, as he worked as an Exercise Specialist at Highbar in the East Providence, Seekonk, and Warwick clinics.
In his free time, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, Rocky and Juniper. They enjoy being outdoors, whether that be scuba diving, fishing, or hiking.

Dr. Alison Akerley is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, the spine, and sports-related injuries. After sustaining multiple sports injuries, Alison was inspired to give back to her community by helping others get back to the activities they love most. She is passionate about creating personalized plans to help her patients reach their movement goals. Throughout her career, she has gained certification in trigger point dry needling and has completed the Highbar Orthopedic Residency program.
In her free time, Alison enjoys exploring all the state parks in Rhode Island, going to farmer’s markets, and spending time outside. As a former soccer and softball player, she likes to stay active by hiking and skiing. You can usually catch her watching the Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and USWNT soccer games.

Dr. Andrew Guay is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, and balance & falls. He is passionate about building relationships and working with his patients to empower them to take an active role in their own care.
When he’s not treating patients, Andrew spends his time at the gym, running, cycling, hiking, doing DIY projects, and perfecting his golf game.

Dr. Jesse Rudolph is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. He chose a career in physical therapy because he finds it deeply rewarding to help his patients get back to the sports or activities they love.
Jesse ran cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track at the collegiate level for all four years at Heidelberg University and worked at a specialty running store while he was pursuing his DPT. He loves to help others understand proper running form and how proper footwear can make all the difference.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Medina, OH, you’ll always find him rooting for all the Cleveland sports teams. In his free time, Jesse enjoys running, cooking, and trying new restaurants and breweries in the Providence area.

Dr. Kathleen Rafanelli is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. She loves being a clinician because it allows her to promote and encourage her patients to live a healthier lifestyle so they can experience the positive effects of exercise on their mental, physical, and social health. She also enjoys helping her patients regain function in their daily activities by reducing their pain and increasing their range of motion.
She loves traveling and has been to many places around the world, including Vellore India where she worked with physical therapists at the Christian Medical College to learn about cultural norms and observe similarities and differences across the profession. Her first clinical rotation was at the VA in Providence and a unique, 5-month clinical rotation at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. While working on the base, she practiced in an environment where she was able to rehabilitate active duty military members as they train at their duty stations and prepare for their deployment.
While she’s not in the clinic, she loves to stay active by hiking, playing pickup basketball with friends, and going to the gym. She loves spending time with her dog, Nelli, and watching the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins.

Joshua Berry, ATC is a Certified Athletic Trainer who works with Smithfield High School and our Smithfield clinic. He is passionate about helping athletes get back on the field and playing the sports they love. In previous roles, Joshua has served as an Adjunct Professor of Wellness at Andrew College, where he was also an Athletic Trainer.
When he’s not on the sidelines, Joshua enjoys playing soccer, running, weightlifting, and creating LEGO masterpieces.
Dr. Jake Broccolo is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in orthopedics, post-surgical care, and sports-related injuries. He also serves as the Clinic Director for our North Providence clinic. A native Rhode Islander, he was introduced to the field of physical therapy when he injured his arm playing baseball. From athlete to patient then physical therapist, Jake offers expertise in baseball and football injuries. In addition, he enjoys working with the elderly, on mobility, balance, and minimizing the risk of falls.
In his spare time, Jake stays active by going to the gym, riding his bike, and playing golf. A baseball player and RedSox fan, he was at the famous ‘RedSox vs Yankees Brawl’ game. Ask him who his favorite family member is and he'll tell you it's his 7-year-old black lab, Zoe.

Dr. Taylor Holt is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics and sports-related injuries. She knew she always wanted to work in a job where she could help people every day. Physical therapy was the perfect fit for her, as it allowed her to use her passions of fitness, health, and wellness. Taylor loves her job as a physical therapist because it allows her the opportunity to teach patients that being kind to themselves and their bodies are very important.
While in school, Taylor volunteered with the New York City Marathon in 2017 and 2018 to help individuals with injuries at the finish line. She went to Haiti in 2013 and 2014 to help volunteer in the local schools and help assist individuals in physical recovery from injuries.
Taylor likes to stay active by playing golf and biking on various paths in Rhode Island. She also loves going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.

Jennifer Gallant, MS, LAT, ATC is an Athletic Trainer who works with the Lincoln School in Providence and our East Providence clinic. As an athlete in high school, she was impressed with how much the local athletic trainer and physical therapists helped other athletes get back to 100%. Her amazement with the impact they had on her and her teammates inspired her to pursue a career in Athletic Training to help people in the same way.
The athletic training program at Lincoln School, which Jennifer heads, was one of the first programs in Rhode Island to receive the 1st Team Safe School Sport award. Her ongoing work at Lincoln includes the development of exercise programs to help improve performance, education for injury prevention, and overall promotion of health for female athletes in addition to an Emergency Action Plan.
She sits on the board of the Rhode Island Athletic Training Association as the Secondary School Committee Chair. In addition, she has volunteered to organize a team for the Rhode Island Walk Like MADD in honor of her friend and colleague, Ellynn Koelsch since 2017.
When she’s not in the clinic or on the sidelines, she enjoys trying new recipes and spending quality time with her husband, Jeff, her son, Jackson, her daughter, Julia, and their cat, Kirk.
Dr. Bradley Brink is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, spine, sports-related injuries, lacrosse, football, CrossFit, and surfing. He’s passionate about building relationships with his patients and being their coach and advocate on their way to recovery.
Originally from New Hampshire, Bradley is returning to New England after spending 18 months living in Hawaii. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, trying new foods and cafes, riding his motorcycle, and keeping up with New England sports. He stays active by hiking, snowboarding, CrossFit, and surfing.

Dr. Emily Hutcheson is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, dance, and aquatics. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their goals and to watch them improve from their initial evaluation to their discharge.
When she’s not in the clinic, Emily loves traveling with her husband in their trailer and going kayaking. She also enjoys spending time at home with their two cats and two dogs.

Clinic Director Dr. Rob Gruttadauria is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who also specializes in sports-related injuries and running. His passion is helping patients reach their goals, improve their quality of life, and reach new heights in their wellness journeys. He holds certifications in both Level 1 and 2 of Trigger Point Dry Needling and is one of the Lead Instructors for Highbar's Dry Needling Certification program.
In his free time, Rob stays active through a variety of exercises including running, weightlifting, and functional fitness. He also enjoys cooking and is always looking for recommendations on healthy meal alternatives. Rob also loves following his favorite New England sports teams, especially the Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, and Providence Friars basketball team.
