Performance Physical Therapy, Highbar’s founding practice, is located inside the Brown Medical Building on Wampanoag Trail in East Providence. This clinic features a large open floor plan with lots of natural sunlight and three private treatment rooms. With clinicians that specialize in athletic training, pelvic floor physical therapy, and pediatrics, we are ready to help you reach your movement or function goals. Our staff considers themselves lifelong learners and are always looking to find new ways to help you feel better, move freely, and live fully.

Meet the Team
Dr. Lindsey Arcand has been the Clinic Director in East Providence since 2022. She is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics and dance-related injuries. Starting her career at Highbar as an Exercise Specialist in 2015, she continued her education, advanced to her role as a Physical Therapist, and now as a Clinic Director. She has earned certification in trigger point dry needling. Lindsey loves helping her patients reach their maximum potential so they can live their best lives. In her free time, she loves dancing, hiking, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and cat.
Amanda Moran ATC, LMT is a Certified Athletic Trainer who works with East Providence High School and our East Providence clinic. During high school, she fractured her ankle playing softball. This piqued her interest in the field of rehabilitation, which led her to a career in athletic training. She loves helping athletes go from a very low point to then regaining their strength and returning back to their sport.
Amanda also helped the East Providence High School receive the 1st team Safe School Sport award (May 2016-2019). Most recently, she completed the Highbar Lead the Way program.
In her free time, Amanda likes cooking new recipes, reading, and biking. For over 10 years she has participated in the MS 150 Bike Ride, raising money for multiple sclerosis.
Amanda Moran ATC, LMT is a Certified Athletic Trainer who works with East Providence High School and our East Providence clinic. During high school, she fractured her ankle playing softball. Jennifer Gallant, MS, LAT, ATC is an Athletic Trainer who works with the Lincoln School in Providence and our East Providence clinic. As an athlete in high school, she was impressed with how much the local athletic trainer and physical therapists helped other athletes get back to 100%. Her amazement with the impact they had on her and her teammates inspired her to pursue a career in Athletic Training to help people in the same way.
The athletic training program at Lincoln School, which Jennifer heads, was one of the first programs in Rhode Island to receive the 1st Team Safe School Sport award. Her ongoing work at Lincoln includes the development of exercise programs to help improve performance, education for injury prevention, and overall promotion of health for female athletes in addition to an Emergency Action Plan.
She sits on the board of the Rhode Island Athletic Training Association as the Secondary School Committee Chair. In addition, she has volunteered to organize a team for the Rhode Island Walk Like MADD in honor of her friend and colleague, Ellynn Koelsch since 2017.
When she’s not in the clinic or on the sidelines, she enjoys trying new recipes and spending quality time with her husband, Jeff, her son, Jackson, her daughter, Julia, and their cat, Kirk.
