Leadership
Leading the way for more than 20 years
Highbar began as Performance Physical Therapy, a well-known physical therapy practice in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. As they saw the physical therapy industry take a turn toward provider burnout with high patient quotas and poor work-life balance, they knew there had to be a better way to ensure patients were getting the best care possible while also taking care of their clinicians.
From creating unmatched professional development programs to advocating for payment models focused on clinical outcomes and higher standards of care, the leadership team at Highbar is always working to raise the bar for clinicians, patients, and the industry. In 2023, they evolved the name of the organization to reflect the standard of care they've always provided: Highbar.
Dr. michelle Collie, CEO
Driving INDUSTRY
BEST PRACTICES.
Highbar is led by Dr. Michelle Collie, a physical therapy industry leader and advocate. She and the Highbar team have worked to drive the industry forward, developing exceptional professional development programs for clinicians, providing access to high-quality and individualized care for patients, and advocating for clinical outcomes-focused payment models. The Highbar team leads the way in developing best practices for the physical therapy industry.
Our goal with every clinician is to foster an environment of learning, growing, and adapting to the science and technology behind physical therapy. Highbar invests in our team so each and every employee can practice at the top of the license, or as we like to call it, PATTOTL.
