Dr. John Goodyear PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. John Goodyear is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, powerlifting, and strength sports. He is passionate about helping his patients realize that each day is an opportunity to make something better, no matter how small the improvement may seem. This has inspired him to pursue studies in Spanish, so he can enhance his communication with patients from different cultural backgrounds.
He holds records in the bench press, deadlift, and total when he was the President of the Men’s Powerlifting Team at Northeastern. In addition to his work as a physical therapist, John is the Assistant Coach for this team, where he wants to use a combination of his clinical knowledge and athletic experience to help the team reach its fullest potential.
Originally from New Jersey, John moved to Rhode Island because it combines his love for New England and his desire to be near the ocean.
